Demon and Coconut figurines
Traditional masks are a unique Sri Lankan artefact that incorporates ancient Sri Lankan culture and heritage. Handcrafted from a unique piece of Strychnine wood (Strychnos nux-vomica- which is inherently resistant to termite attacks or infestations) by our finest craftsmen from the city of Ambalangoda, located on Sri Lanka's southern coast and famed for mask creation.
Frame
The world's finest German woodworking machinery equipped with the most cutting-edge technology are used to manufacture the frame that surrounds the mask. Produced using luxurious Mahogany wood (Swietenia macrophylla) or luxurious Teak wood (Tectona grandis) that is sap and pith free, Kiln dried between 10 and 14 degrees Celsius, pressure and Boron chemically treated to make the wood free of insect infestations, and painted with nontoxic (water base and wax polish) and environmentally friendly coatings. The border padding is hand loomed using premium cotton fabrics.
